Fun in the Sun

We had lots of fun this weekend playing outside in the nice sunny weather. On Friday we played with Mandy and Molly at Metro Beach, unfortunately I left my camera at home so didn't get any pictures.

Today we went up to the boat so Daddy could help Grandpa wax the boat for the season. We went to the play area and had lots of fun!!

Caleb was so wiped out, for bedtime we put him in his superman pjs! He loves the cape!

Deal of the Day

So I don't usually post about deals, but I figured what the heck, I haven't been a good blogger lately so maybe this will be a kick off.

So today I went into CVS, needed some milk and just wanted to stop somewhere quick. Upon entering there is now a scanning place to scan your CVS card and get a coupon, so I got a $4 off $20 coupon. Cool but I only need milk... hmm

So on my way back to the milk I decide to look at the diapers and see what they have. We usually get huggies from Costco. Caleb is now in a size 4 (you know the bigger the size the more expensive) maybe that's a plot to get your kid potty trained earlier.

Anyway at Costco the case of 200 diapers is somewhere around $40 and I know I pay $0.21/diaper, I compare all my deals to this. So CVS huggies are uber expensive something like $0.35-0.40 can't remember. I notice the CVS brand diapers are BOGO - umm sweet so here's the deal:

1 pack of 30 - $9.49
1 pack of 30 - $0.00
- ($4.00)
- ($2.00) - got a coupon in the mail!
- ($1.50) - got a coupon last visit at CVS
TOTAL
60 diapers for $1.99 that is only $0.033/diaper

Of course I had to spend more money to qualify for the $20 but hey I needed mothers day cards and milk anyway!!

Gosh I hope these CVS diapers are okay, if not they will be the daycare's problem anyway!!

It's Tony's birthday today, I hope he had a good day.

He woke up to this:
Chocolate Chip Pancakes, 2 Eggs (whites only) and Bacon.

Caleb got him a Blu-Ray Player for his birthday.

Tony's Parents and Brother's family came over to celebrate for dinner. His parents got him this awesome Pink Bunny Icecream birthday cake. LOL

And I got a couple cute pictures of the kids, we played outside a lot today with bubble guns :)

A day in the life of...

First trip to the ZOO!!

Wow, we just had so much fun. It was so nice outside that we decided a trip to the zoo was in order. Well we got a great wagon for Christmas unfortunately, it was still in the box, so finally like 20 minutes later we were off to the zoo (way to be spontaneous right?) LOL

We decided since it was only March that this year would be the year we would get a year long zoo pass, its good for the whole year so hopefully we'll make our way out there a couple more times over the summer. Caleb loves to be outside, he loves his wagon, and the animals well he didn't mind them much.

My New Ride

My lovely husband decided we should just go ahead and get my dream car, well Minivan. I've wanted a minivan for the longest time, maybe I'm weird but that's okay. The doors that open with a touch of a button are pricesless when your hands are full with sippys, snacks and oh not to forget the baby. Beautiful!!

My 2009 Chrysler Town & Country Touring, with leather seats (2 rows of which are heated), 2 DVD players for the passangers with wireless headphones, 6 disc cd/dvd player, huge hard drive to store pictures, music and whatever it even has a USB port and power outlets so Tony can plug in his XBox. Remote start, power doors (which also have the windows that roll down) stow-n-go seats, reverse backup camera, great safety features. This thing is loaded!! I'm in LOVE!!

Book of the Month...

Part of my 52 things in 52 weeks is to read a book everything month.  Well I'm still working on my February book, The Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers.  But I'm happy to say that I've already finished my March book. 

I picked a fun little novel this time by Sophie Kinsella entitled Remember Me?, Kinsella is also the author of the Shopaholic series which I've already read and LOVE!  Remember Me? is a book about a girl who goes out for a night on the town she falls down and wakes up in the hospital 3 years later.  She actually got in a car accident but woke up with amnesia about the previous 3 years, her life has changed dramatically.  Its a pretty decent book I read it in a week or so leisurely.  Oh and I found it at Costco for $8.99!

Crib Photo Shoot

A repost from my 365 blog, but I think it belongs over here too.  Today we did a fun mini crib photoshoot!  Lots of fun, I think Caleb (and daddy) were surprised to see me climb in the crib.  At least it didn't break in! :)
